![]() Because I only realize I'm doing it, when I'm fully alert and awake. It's like, I'm aware enough to feel disappointed that yet again, I didn't lucid dream, but not aware enough to actually intervene and redirect my thoughts. The thing I'm trying to manifest, is becoming able to lucid dream, and I literally wake up with thoughts like, "maybe my brain literally can't lucid dream, what if I have early onset Alzheimers, what if I'm an NPC or something and that's why I can't lucid dream" (yes, even silly what-ifs like that). I literally wake up frustrated and discouraged before I'm even aware of it. And I notice I wake up automatically thinking discouraging and negative thoughts. But I notice that as I drift off to sleep, no matter how much I try to focus on thinking from the wish fulfilled state (or even if I instead just detach and focus on doing something enjoyable before sleep instead of anything related to manifestation), I default to negative thoughts about being stuck in my current circumstances. I'm decent at managing my thoughts during the day and keeping them positive, and rationalizing away the negative thoughts.
